Welcome to AIA Springfield!

Through its national, state and local components, the AIA provides its members with a framework for guidance and leadership in a rapidly changing world. The purpose of AIA Springfield is to promote the value of architecture to the public, serving its members thereby advancing their value, and improving the quality of the build environment. This site is a resource for AIA members, allied members, building industry professionals, people seeking architects and those with an interest in architecture. Community service and outreach are important to AIA Springfield and our chapter's resources are available for assistance to the community.

Prior to this weekend, Faye and Joe Criswell faced the challenge of exiting their Springfield home without handicap assistance. Both front and back doors stood three feet above ground level making access to and from their home with a motorized wheelchair nearly impossible.
